FORTH DINGHY CHAMPIONSHIP 2010
1. The competition is open to all members of member clubs sailing in recognised class of dinghy .
2. The competition will be based on the results at the regattas held at the venues listed as Qualifying Regattas in the FYCA Dinghy Championship
3. Points will be scored by participants in accordance with the position they attain in their class for the whole regatta in the normal place points system. Thus if the participant is 1st he will be awarded 1 point, if he is 2nd he will be awarded 2 points etc. The best 3 out of 4 scores to count. Participants who do not take part in a particular event will be awarded points equivalent to the number of starters in the class the participant would have sailed in plus 1.
4. Ties for the first three places will be broken as follows:-
·first by the number of events which have been taken part in.
·second by the number of first places
·third by the best discard
·fourth by the points awarded for the last event in the season
5. The FYCA Dinghy Championship is open to all yachts whose owners are members of FYCA affiliated clubs. Entry is automatic as soon as a yacht enters a listed event.
