Pilot Handbook

Berwick to Fraserburgh

Third Edition Published January 2001

The first edition of the Pilot Handbook was published in 1974, and the second in 1986. This new edition has been substantially revised, increased in size from A5 to A4, and now incorporates coloured charts/plans and some photographs. Also included is information relating to the Forth and Clyde Canal, but the current edition of the British Waterways' Skipper's Guide should be consulted.

The information contained in the handbook draws strongly on local knowledge and has been compiled with information obtained from local yacht clubs and many individuals.

You may be able to obtain the Pilot Handbook at your local chandlers but copies can be ordered for delivery by post at a cost of £16 per copy including post and packing by either contacting or download and print the order form here in pdf format* and post it with your cheque (Payable to FYCA) to Tom at the address shown on the form. You can also specify delivery addresses other than your own so that you can have copies sent as a gift from you - with a personal message as well !

This edition has now sold out and is no longer available. A new version will be available soon and will be publicised on this web site. Check back here for more information regarding the publication date and availability.
